My friend Chris gave me the nickname of Miss Parmigiani many years ago for my love of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. I'm half Italian and have a bubbly, goofy personality, so the name just stuck!
I majored in print journalism. I love environmental issues, especially issues pertaining to the politics of water problems because water affects everyone on the planet. It is AMAZING how many politics are involved in how water is delivered, and to whom and by whom.
I also love trying new things, learning about new people and exploring new issues.

Brown Beans coming into Bloom
The brown bean plants are actually starting to turn brown
Save your soil!
If you are a homeowner, you should consider planting plants that do not require a lot of fertilizer. While it feeds plants, having plants native to your area will require less of it. They will naturally take their nutrients from the existing soil.
The Brown Bean plant is cute, but most importantly, it doesn't take a lot of water after the first watering season!
